Sugar is a killer! It’s highly inflammatory and linked to all sorts of medical problems from diabetes, heart disease, fatty liver, autoimmune, and cancer to allergies, asthma, and acne.

Chronic disease is rampant in our country, so it’s no surprise that the US has the highest sugar consumption in the world.

The World Health Organization recommends less than 25g of sugar a day for women and less than 12 g for kids and we are eating over 3 times that amount on average. That’s not a surprise because it’s in everything packaged in our shelves and it’s highly addictive. The more we eat the more we crave.

Just check out how much sugar is in one can of soda. But it’s also hidden in everything you wouldn’t imagine — from ketchup to yogurt to crackers to canned goods. Check labels. Be vigilant. You are what you eat, and you will crave what you eat.
